Hailing from what sounds akin to the inner reaches of Scandinavia, this group have a varied history of working with dancers, fire, mime and graphic artists, though this belies the softness and calm permeating through this blissed out spatial exploration. Starting out with doleful piano chords echoing Massive Attack at their most downbeat, the funereal tone is strengthened by a gentle wash of strings, while that piano line becomes more insistent, before dropping off the precipice in slow motion to greet the almost whispered vocals (like Brian Molko on downers, but poised and perfect).

A relaxed backbeat rears into the foreground subtly, changing the heartbeat tempo up steadily, before falling back into itself. The backing vox multitrack and trace an arc blushing purple , blue and black, in search of the sunlight, cruising towards the dawn.

The layers build, you can hear Air, the very European sound, a minimalist symphony, a mood you yearn to return to again and again.

Fear not listener, everything you need is here for you today, tomorrow, next week, years on, into infinity. Just let yourself float free.

All For You.

About The Artist

Baron Bane

Baron Bane is a magical, intriguing, border crossing multimedia band who stretches the boundaries for what a regular band can do. The group consists of three musicians and two graphical designers, - and they all stand under the Baron's command. The Baron's servants' accompaniment during live gigs are beautiful movies shot on big screens. The group has, since its forming, done the following; art exhibitions with combined sound installation/live concert, overhead projector battles, incorporated dance acts in live gigs, club gigs and a lot of open air festival gigs. Baron Bane released his self titled debut album on Stupid Dream Records on November 7. The album contains 10 strong tracks and has been described as an refreshing hybrid between electronica and pop/rock. One of the forthcoming singles, "Soften", is mixed by internationally acclaimed house producer Tony Senghore. Soften has in the fall of 2004 gotten rotation on London-based radio station XFM.
