New video for 'Sunday (Psychic Conversation #9)', new album due June 4....

With a month until the release of their third album ‘Endless Flowers’ on June 4th through Souterrain Transmissions, San Diego’s CROCODILES have revealed the new video for their addictive new single ‘Sunday (Psychic Conversation #9)’.

Following up Easter with a (far more stylish) take on the crucifixion, the video’s director Sam Macon explained to Nowness; “The religious imagery grew from the songs opening lyrics, “It’s Sunday and the world loves itself.” I immediately honed in on the idea of making a large-scale version of a roadside memorial.”

Sunday (Psychic Conversation #9), with b-side featuring the band’s version of The Kids’ ‘Fascist Cops’, is available digitally and on limited edition 7” vinyl now through Souterrain Transmissions. It’s the first single to be taken from the band’s superb new record ‘Endless Flowers’.

Crocodiles have existed in various incarnations since 2008, evolving from the original core of Brandon Welchez and Charles Rowell into the five-piece we see today. With two previous albums, 2009’s Summer Of Hate and 2010’s Sleep Forever, the band garnered righteous praise for their intoxicating blend of scuzzy, surfy, lo-fi noise pop and their thrilling live shows. But, finding themselves having to make a hasty exit from their San Diego hometown last spring, they headed to Europe, landing in Berlin to rehearse and record their superb third album, ‘Endless Flowers’.

When recently asked to describe the record, Crocodiles front man Brandon Welchez perfectly surmised “I think those two albums, while I love them, were somewhat monochrome. This one is in full colour.”
